PHYLLIS PARUN
Phyllis Parun, artist-philosophical poet born in the mysterious city of New Orleans, is always on a voyage of self-discovery whether creating art, writing essays on healthy life, philosophy or poetic memoir. In the poetic arts, she goes fearlessly into her own personal experience as she has lived it.   "New Orleans Born," her first poetic homage, takes place in the New Orleans of the 1940-50s. Deeply honest, this author is a quintessential example of Cocteau's dictum that "writing should be an act of love; otherwise, it's nothing but handwriting."
