"Drawing by cutting into linoleum is a sculptural experience. I have worked in a variety of sizes, sometimes printing them in black ink and for others hand coloring each print, making them each one of a kind. They are limited editions, varying in sizes and themes. Stylistically, this work began as pure 20th-Century European expressionism infused with African and Asian motifs and later was influenced by Matisse, Picasso and the cubists." Phyllis Parun
